It's mainly a problem with how people think stats on gear work. +% damage is horrible if you have chroma buffs on for example.

If you replace serration with primed cryo, you already get more damage in total against the eidolons. Even without the chroma buff +% dmg on a riven is rarely worth it compared to multishot, crit chance or crit damage.

Very basic 'why'; You already got 888% damage from chroma, but your crit modifier is barely at 120% for chance/damage and multishot is only at 90%. Does it make more sense adding yet even more to damage, or adding to the other 3, that multiply the already high one? People are basically trying to push a single modifier, ignoring that things like; (800 + 400) * 2 = 2400 is increasing by the same amount 800 * 3 = 2400 would already do.
